Isopods belong to crustaceans and have relatives who live at sea. It is usual to find them if you lift a flowerpot out in the garden. The isopod is sensitive to dehydration, moisture is a prerequisite for it to survive. They eat dead plant parts and a female can have up to 100 cubs per year.
How to avoid them:
- Avoid moisture where you do not want isopods to visit.
Suitable treatments: isopods are harmless and are not normally controlled.
